There is a limit of three slides within the PowerPoint, however there is no limit to the creativity that can be used in composing these slides – video essays, audio-visual content etc. is welcomed in place of a standard presentation if desired. The goal of a thesis-in-three presentation is to provide a succinct overview which is engaging and easily The audience is considered to be the average person on the street, so the aim is to present in such a way that anyone can understand it, regardless of background etc. A gong/noise is sounded at the end of the three minutes and speakers will not be allowed to continue once the three minutes is passed. The aim is to get the main points of your research across in a way that is enjoyable for the audience – this is the overall criteria for the award for best presentation, for which a prize will be awarded on the day.
